    Australian Paralympic swimmer and bronze medallist with an exciting future ahead!

    Lewis Bishop is an Australian Paralympic swimmer and bronze medal winner, with a bright future.

     

    Growing up as a prolific swimmer before a boating accident in Papua New Guinea changed his life, Lewis’ journey is one of unwavering dedication and resilience, which has propelled his remarkable return to competitive swimming and onto the Paralympic Games.

     

    Following a strong performance at the national championships, Lewis joined the Para Flippers Development Squad in 2023, before being selected for the Australian Swim Para Team for the Para Swimming European Open Championships in Portugal in 2024.

     

    Most recently, Lewis made his Paralympic debut at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, winning a bronze medal in the Men’s 100m butterfly S9 and placing himself amongst the world’s elite at only 19 years-old.

     

    Beyond swimming, Lewis is an outstanding advocate and role model for young para-athletes, using his story and achievements to inspire and empower the next generation.

     

    All eyes are on Lewis as he prepares for the 2028 LA Paralympics Games!
